Here are pictures that I have not included in any of the other pages, but I though would be interesting to put up anyway. I may in the future make pages for them. I of course will continue working on my animatronic and will update this site as I progress.

This is a picture of my sculpture while I had silicone RTV over it. I first did an impression coat of RTV then after that dried, I did a mixture of RTV and Cab-o-sil. This mixture did not flow off, and I was able to use very little RTV to do this. After that, I made a mother mold out of plaster and kleenex ( I was experimenting with this to see how much it would strengthen the plaster. It seemed to do a fair amount of strengthening.

Theses are one of the two teeth sets that I made. Like the eyes, they are made out of acrylic. To make them, I first took a mold of my own teeth so that I could have a reference to compare. After that, it was a lot of shaping with a dremel tool, and then a good buffing. I attached them to the base plate with acrylic solvent. That in turn is attached to my jaw with a brass threaded rod that I epoxied into a hole that I drilled in the bottom of this piece.

This is a picture of the mold that I made for the back of the head. It is not a great mold, but it works. I will put up a picture of the front mold which is much better. I am thinking of re-doing this mold so that I don't waste any more foam latex. Notice the edge of the mold. On my front mold, I have a nice 1 1/2 inch flat area that will prevent foam latex from squirting out the sides. This one is jagged and irregular on the edges. I also learned with this one that it is important that you place your injection hole in the center of the mold. While not absolutely necessary, it aids in getting foam to all areas. To get the desired thickness of the skin, I first made the outside part of this mold, then I heated up some cermit clay (oil based) and smoothed it inside to my desired thickness. I then poured my new plaster. When the plaster had cooled, I put it into the oven and heated it up to about 200öF to soften the clay again. I then carefully pried away at the mold until it released. after that, I just removed the cermit and cleaned up the mold as best as I could with denatured alcohol.
